Superman is a fictional superhero created by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster. He first appeared in Action Comics #1, a comic book published by DC Comics in 1938. Superman is widely considered to be an American cultural icon and one of the most recognizable and beloved fictional characters in the world.
On the comic book cover of Superman, a special typeface with some 3D effects is used for the title. The lettering is quite reminiscent of a font called Up Up and Away created by John Roshell. The font is a commercial one and you can find more details about it here.
