The Exorcist is a 1973 horror film directed by William Friedkin, based on the novel of the same name by William Peter Blatty. It tells the story of a young girl who becomes possessed by a demonic entity, and the attempts of a priest to exorcise the demon.
The font used for the title of The Exorcist film on its poster bears a striking resemblance to a phototype known as Neo Argonaut 2, which currently has no digital version. However, the title sequence of the film and the book title both feature a serif font named Weiss Titling.
