Death Note is a Japanese manga where a student, Light Yagami, obtains a notebook that kills anyone whose name is written in it. His quest to cleanse the world of criminals leads to a tense chase with the detective "L".

Several fonts were used in the book covers and posters of the film adaptations:

  • The font used on the Death Note book itself was recreated by FontGet and is called Death Note Font.

  • Death Font created by Joshua1985 resembling the book cover font and another is Death Note created by Rebirth Organization.

  • Finally the font used by one of the most beloved characters "L" is Cloister Black.
