Mr Gum book series is written by Andy Stanton and beautifully illustrated by David Tazzyman. The series follows the adventures of a mischievous and greedy old man named Mr Gum and his friends in the fictional town of Lamonic Bibber. The book series has won two Blue Peter Book Awards as well as the coveted Roald Dahl Funny Prize. Features above is the first book's cover, titled You're a Bad Man, Mr Gum! published on August 7th, 2006 by Egmont.

Jill Bell designed the ITC Smack font in 1995 for "Mr. Gum". Another handwritten font on the cover is Litterbox from Image Club.
