Fifty Shades of Grey is a romantic novel by British author E. L. James. It was first published in 2011 and has since become a best-selling book series, with over 150 million copies sold worldwide. The novel follows the relationship between a young woman named Anastasia Steele and a wealthy businessman named Christian Grey.
Archer Book, which was designed by Tobias Frere-Jones and Jonathan Hoefler in 2001, is used for the book title on the cover. Hoefler & Frere-Jones licensed it for commercial use after originally using it in Martha Stewart Living magazine. There was a film adaptation of the book, which premiered at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival on February 11, 2015. Didot is used as the font in the film's official poster title.
