Oasis a Manchester-based rock band, was formed in 1991. The band consisted of brothers Liam Gallagher (vocals) and Noel Gallagher (guitar, vocals), Paul Arthurs (guitar), Paul McGuigan (bass), and Tony McCarroll (drums). Oasis achieved international success with their debut album, Definitely Maybe (1994), which included hit singles "Live Forever" and "Supersonic."
The above is the primary logo for Oasis, which features the band name in a sans-serif font against a bordered black rectangle. The font used is Helvetica Black Oblique. The logo can be seen on the group’s early releases, such as Definitely Maybe, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, Be Here Now etc. A fan-made font called Oasis, which you can download for free in the Fonts Used Section, is extremely close to the outlined logo used for the band's fourth studio album, "Standing on the Shoulders of Giants."
The fifth album's logo, "Heathen Chemistry," featured the same font and lettering enclosed in the regular bordered rectangle.
A logo that is very similar to the original rectangle logo with the Helvetica typeface used on the album cover for the 2005 release, "Don't Believe the Truth."
