Pete’s Dragon is a 2016 live-action/animated musical film about a young orphan named Pete who befriends an enormous, magical dragon named Elliot. The film is a retelling of the 1977 animated film of the same name.
The Pete’s Dragon title on the cover uses a heavy brush typeface called Barricada, designed by Elí Castellanos Chávez. Barricada features small counters and curved serifs that give the letters a playful feel. Walt Disney Pictures made a remake of the movie in 2016. Here are two similar fonts we found that might suit the film title Edwardian EF Extra Bold by Colin Brignall, and Matrix II Extra Bold from Emigre.
