It is likely that the font utilized for the new Verisign logo, which has been in use since August 2012, is Akzidenz Grotesk Bold by Berthold Type Foundry, a typeface originally released in 1896.
Conversely, the previous Verisign logo, employed from 1995 to 2002, was probably created based on ITC New Baskerville Pro Roman.
