SoundCloud is a music streaming platform that allows users to upload, promote, and share their own music as well as discover new music from other users around the world. It was launched in 2008 and has since become a popular platform for independent artists to showcase their work.

SoundCloud's logo and website, as well as apps, employ the sans-serif typeface called Interstate Bold. This typeface was designed by Tobias Frere-Jones for Font Bureau and is closely linked to Highway Gothic, a signage alphabet that was created for the US Federal Highway Administration in 1949.
