Ready Player One Font

Ready Player One is a science fiction novel written by Ernest Cline in 2011. It is set in a dystopian future where people spend most of their time in a virtual reality world called the OASIS. The story follows protagonist Wade Watts as he searches for an Easter egg hidden in the OASIS by its creator, James Halliday.

Mekon Outline is the font used for the book's title. Mekon was created by Jonathan Hill, a heavy-weighted display font that is now offered in Regular, Block, Outline, and Gradient in addition to 3 alternative styles. Steven Spielberg's adaptation of the book as a movie debuted on March 29, 2018. To replicate the title writing on the movie poster, Fran Fernández designed a font called Ready Player One, which you can download for free in the Fonts Used Section.
