The Searchers Font

The Searchers: The Making of an American Legend is a novel by Alan LeMay, first published in 1954, which tells the story of a man's years-long search for his niece, who was kidnapped by Comanches.

On the book cover, the font used bears a resemblance to PL Tower Condensed, a commercial font designed by Morris Fuller Benton in 1934. Further information about the font can be viewed here.
